Very comfortable!

Really comfortable swing, especially if you are a bit tall. We got this as a replacement for swing with a low back. Really quite close to perfection.

nice style and comfort

I looked at many different swing chairs and this one is the best! Being a high quality builder, Im very happy to have found this clear red cedar unit. Of course I upgraded to all stainless steel hardware which looks amazing. I couldn't have it any other way. The design is great and comfort too. I did take time to hand sand all of the edges because that wasn't done, but no complaints, that's just the way I am. We love this swing!

We love our Royal Highback Swing

We purchased the 6' Red Cedar Royal HighbackSwing for our dock. We live on the intracoastal in Florida. We included stainless steel chains and hardware. The swing is well built with attention to detail.

Great swing

The swing arrived neatly packed, unassembled with all the parts included. It was very simple to assemble. Because of liability, you have to purchase the hanging hooks. Directions show an eye hook, but I couldn't figure out how to connect to the chain so used a "J" hook which works very well. Love the swing. It seems well made.

Love it

Extremely comfortable,fairly easy to assemble (some screws and bolts were missing)and it is beautiful to look at. We sealed it when we got it. It is very sturdy and worth the money!

Beautiful Bench Swing - Careless Packing;Shipping

Packing straps were SO tight they damaged two cross cross boards. Screws were inserted in haste and ripped the finished on one cross board. Otherwise, good design, comfortable and nicely constructed.

I phoned CS and sent corroborating photos. The problem was dealt with proactively and quickly receiving replacement boards and hardware in 10 days. I recommend this product and FifthRoom as they stand by their products.

Get it! You will love it!

Very comfortable swing. With a 900 pound capacity, you don't ever need to worry about who or how many people sit in it. My hubby built an extra tall pergola for my swing so it has a long, slow swing to it, which is perfect for a porch swing. It is super for getting over-tired grand babies to nap and for grandma to nap after they leave! Our pergola is big enough for a grand kid swing next to mine. The swing comes in several large pieces that are surprisingly easy to combine into a great swing.

Love it!

This swing is nicely constructed and very sturdy. I was however not happy with the "white stain". You coukd still see the cedar through it and it was yellowish. It was a very thin layer and it just did not look good at all. We added 2 coats of paint ourselves and it looks alot better. I would definitely recommend getting the cedar stain. I am regretful I didn't. It would have been nice to have a warning in the description unless I missed it? Anyway! Beautiful swing! Looking forward to using it all the time!

Satisfied Customer

My husband bought this swing and cushion for me for my birthday. It arrived in excellent condition and was easy to assemble. We've now enjoyed it for over 1 1/2 years. It is well made, sturdy, and very comfortable to sit in. So far the cushion has also worn well. The unique shading of the chains is also a nice touch. All in all, I can recommend this well-crafted swing without reservation!

The perfect swing ... Exactly what I've been searching for !

I have search on line and in stores for over a year now and came upon The Fifthroom web site. I'd not heard of it before and was a bit leary of ordering something like this online. I called to place my order directly with the store. The gal that I spoke with couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Any and all questions that I had, she had an answer for. I could tell by the picture alone that this was a quality product, very sturdy and well made. I was anxious for it to arrive and get it hung up. We had a cedar pergola built for this swing and it fit the space perfectly ! We had a large deck and concrete patio, with landscape lighting, done at the same time. My swing is the crown on the whole project. I love going out there day or night. It's just so peaceful out there. Thank you, Fifthroom, for having exactly what I was looking for. As I was checking out all of your products, I have told many of my friends and neighbors of the wonderful products that you offer, at reasonable prices and excellent quality.

Easy to put together once I divided all of the hardware into their perspective piles. Just make sure you inventory everything. I was one nut short. Easy fix with a quick trip to Lowe's. All in all, I'm very pleased!

Just Perfect!

I recently did a major remodel of my backyard. I wanted the feeling of having a retreat like my grandparents home when I was little. My best memory was swinging with my family in their porch swing. The Cedar Royal Highback swing has completely lived up to all my expectations. It is beautiful, sturdy, really comfortable and perfectly balanced. A little push and it just keeps rocking with no effort at all. I just love it!

Great Swing

We purchased this swing a year ago at end of 2010. The craftsmanship is fantastic. It was delivered ready to stain and took a stain very well. It assembled easily as well. We love this swing. You will not be disappointed w/ this company

Fine furniture for the outdoors!

I classify this beautiful swing as a fine piece of furniture for the outdoors. It is so comfortablle and my 1 year old granddaughter never wants to get off. Urethane finish brought out the great wood grain, and should protect it for many years to come.

We love It but pay attention to detail

Love the design and comfort. My wife is thrilled with it. We live in a large 4 level town house with a deck on the second floor looking over a English garden. The swing is suspended from under the deck so we can enjoy the garden from ground level. It was easy for me to assemble It because I am handy. However, the hardware bag was missing the 12 wood screws to attach the head board and knee board. I used 2" deck screws that I had available. More frustrating was a factory defect in assembly. Where the arm rest attaches to the back a hole is drill through the arm rest and the back outside rib so that a bolt can be pushed through and a nut fastened to it. The factory assembler placed one of the back cross boards directly centered perpendicular to the hole and installed a screw so that the bolt could not pass. With some creative drilling I corrected the defect. The chains don't look like stainless steel to me. I would still purchase It again but attention to detail by the assemblers and parts department would have made assembly very easy indeed.

A Most Wonderful Swing!

I received my Royal Highback Porch Swing from my husband for my birthday and love it. My swing size is six foot in length and made very sturdy. The design is very attractive and comfortable. My husband and I enjoy its soothing and relaxing glide. I highly recommend this swing!

We just refinished our porch and I have wanted a swing for a long time. I had certain criteria: I wanted it with a high back so that I could rest my head, I wanted it to have a curve for my back and I wanted it to be deep because I have long legs and some chairs can hurt if they are too short. The only thing I regret is getting the extra stain and seal. When we received the swing it felt tacky but my husband assembled it and we thought if we let it set in our family room for a few days maybe it would dry and correct itself. It didn't. It is also very rough; I need to sit on a towel when I'm on it because it is that abrasive. We are hoping that over time this roughness will wear away and it will be nice and smooth. We spoke to a painter about sanding it and applying a clear coat but he told us that it wouldn't take because of the penetration of the stain and sealer that was applied. He told us we just have to use it and let it wear. The really sad thing is--We paid EXTRA for the stain and seal. I do have to say though that I would buy this swing again but WITHOUT the extra stain and sealer.

LOOK NO FURTHER!!! BUY IT

This swing is fantastic. Very comfortable, well made and easy to put together. I learned that one of the good things about this swing is that the chain that is attached to the swing goes through a hole that is drilled in the arms of the chair. That means, the chain won't rub against the wood. I love being able to rest my head on it: total relaxation!I really can't think of ANYTHING that I would change about it. Seriously! I buy a lot of stuff on line and this swing exceeded my expectations. Buy it!

Quick and easy to assemble

My 2nd Purchase!

This is my 2nd one! I bought one of these 10 years ago, but lost it when I moved to another home. It has been on my wish list ever since, and finally I got my 2nd swing, and I still love it! (The assembly was a little challenging, but I did finally get it together) Thank you so much for designing such a great swing. We can relax and lean back and rest out shoulders, neck and head -- which is supported with the HIGH Back design.
