Our standard treated pine posts are laminated which simply means glued together or glued onto. We use kiln dried pressure treated southern yellow pine, which is already stronger and less likely to warp than regular lumber. Laminated together with glue and screws are 3 pieces of lumber (two 2x4's and a 1x4) that create a bond stronger than the wood itself. This in turn makes a solid piece of lumber that will stay straight and strong for decades. Posts are sanded and the corners are rounded so that they measure just 3 1/2" square. Post height is 78" tall from the top of the floor. Gazebos measuring 18’ wide and over have 5" x 5" laminated posts.

Our Vinyl Gazebos have 3 ½” x 3 ½” posts covered by a 4x4 vinyl sleeve.

Note: If you want taller posts or heavier 6x6 posts, talk to your Project Advisor. Some larger gazebos or structures that need additional snow or wind resistance will require larger posts.
