SmartSide is manufactured with a strong plywood core, and a tough 1/8" Douglas Fir wood composite face. The composite outer surface has the texture and appearance of natural rough sawn cedar. The outer hardboard is water resistant and won’t split, crack, or check, even with rough treatment. Inherently lighter and more durable than engineered wood sidings, it is also one of the strongest siding materials available. Plus, this economical choice provides a low-maintenance, easy to paint surface.

Our SmartSide siding uses 4’ wide panels that measure 15/32” thick. The 8” vertical groove has a medium depth and uses a shiplap style edge. This siding meets or exceeds PS 1-07 & APA Standards
