Our caps are designed to fit standard 4x4 & 6x6 posts. These stated, or “Nominal,” sizes reflect the dimensions that the lumber is cut to before it is planed and sanded. Please note that an actual 4x4 measures 3.5”x3.5” and an actual 6x6 measures 5.5”x5.5”. These measurements are standard to the lumber industry.
