White Cedar
Cedar has a long, rich history of use due to it's insect resistance, high durability and beauty. White cedar grows in swamp environments; therefore it is very rot resistant when in contact with water. This is why we use white cedar for outdoor furniture, boxes, doghouses, and planters. Aromatic red cedar, used for centuries in closets and trunks to deter moths and insects, is preferable for indoor storage. With it's imperviousness to the elements, our outdoor cedar furniture may be left untreated to weather to a lovely silver color. Our cedar comes from local harvests as well as the Midwestern United States. Each piece of wood we use is responsibly harvested and milled. We believe in preserving resources for future generations and building quality furniture that lasts.
