Looking for some privacy without total seclusion? Consider our short-side lattice.
The lattice is made in our shop using individual wood slats – Cedar or Treated Pine to match the pergola – with panels that measures just under one inch in thickness and holds up under snow, wind and rain better than most lattices. The opening of the lattice is one square inch. Choosing this option will add a wall of lattice along the entire side of the pergola. The panels are preassembled (longer walls will require a series of panels), which are screwed to the frame of the pergola. Customers are able to select as many sides as desired.
Other Ideas:
Lattices with openings suitable for walking through also are available as an additional option. The lattice can be used for privacy by itself, or for climbing flowering vines as well. The possibilities with this option are endless. To discuss the possibilities, please call one of our design professionals for assistance.
The opening in the lattice is 2” square
The slats are 1.5” wide and each 5/8” thick
Total thickness of the lattice is 1 1/4”
IMPORTANT NOTE CONCERNING ALL PRIVACY PANELS:
Our Deluxe, Four Beam Pergolas are made so that the posts are stationary and cannot be moved during assembly. Privacy panels are built to fit and will attach to the posts. Our Two-Beam Pergolas provide the ability to move the posts a few inches when constructing them. If any of the privacy panels are ordered, be sure to discuss in detail the size of the panels, as they will be sent pre-assembled. Panels will fit properly if the pergola was assembled using standard locations for the posts, unless different dimensions were specified during ordering. Customers may want to have the privacy panels in a knocked-down version that will give provide the ability to cut and assemble them to fit.
