Most of our shed floors start with 4x4 foundation runners (AKA skids) below the joists, so they do not sit directly on the ground, but these joists are substantial enough to lift the shed floor all on their own. These joists are further reinforced with joist hangers to ensure they stand the test of time.

This option includes pressure treated 2x8 Floor Joists which provide a very sturdy and long-lasting foundation for the rest of the shed. By default the joists are spaced 16" On Center, but can be spaced 12" On Center which provides increased load-bearing potential.

Our Floor Joists are treated to withstand moisture, rot, decay, and insect damage.
