Western Red Cedar Cedar Shingles will last decades without the worry of rot,decay or insect damage. As with any wood used outside however, over time, the wood will turn gray, and small hairline checks may develop. This is completely normal - and some folks prefer the weathered wood look. To keep the wood looking new, and maintain the reddish appearance, a stain or sealer should be applied - usually every 2 years, depending on the local climate. Choosing this option, we will apply the sealer for you at our factory.

NOTE: Do not select this option if: (1)you have not selected Cedar shingles or (2) If you choose the stain sealer option for the entire structure and also selected the cedar shingles (The entire structure includes shingles).

This option is for vinyl gazebos, or if you have chosen a paint rather than stain for the main gazebo. (Cedar shingles should not be painted)
