If you are looking for a custom color, you have the choice of painting yourself or ordering a Painted Covered Bridges. Unpainted models have a factory primer applied to the SmartSide siding. This primer easily accepts any good quality Exterior Latex paint (do not use Oil Base paints or stains). Although one coat may cover the siding, it is best to apply two coats for maximum coverage, reducing the need to repaint. A high quality paint should last 10-15 years before repainting.
