White vinyl pool house
12' x 18' White Vinyl Pool House
Shown with Rustic Redwood Shingles & Extra Windows

One of the many wonderful things about a pool house is that you can enjoy one even if you don’t have a pool. Possessing the most desirable qualities of other popular structures, such as the gazebo and the garden shed, the pool house is utilitarian, as well as beautiful, and has an irresistible charm all its own.

Pool houses can be as gorgeous as gazebos; and, like our gazebos, they are available with loads of great options. Because you will be creating and customizing your own pool house right on this site, you are sure to get the one that’s perfect for you. It’s easy and fun, and it takes only a few steps, to build your pool house with our Pool House Designer.

First, you’ll see a list of sizes, the base price for each, and the standard features that are included. After you make your selection, you will be presented with a menu of options that will allow you to customize your pool house, before the final step, in which you’ll submit it for a quote. You can create as many as you like, save them to your own personal gallery, and change them as many times as you wish, until you have perfected the pool house of your dreams.

Among the features offered are finished interiors, screened floors, cupolas, sliding glass doors,double-paned, shuttered windows, and steel doors. You will notice that two windows come standard with the pool houses; but if you want more windows, you can speak with one of our project advisors, who will accommodate your request. If you wish to design your pool house to match or complement your house (and, perhaps, your gazebo), you should have no problem in doing so, with the extensive menu of siding colors for our vinyl pool houses. There are also eight trim and shutter colors to choose from.

Door, Set of Screens & Screened Door

If you want to coordinate the roofs of your house and pool house (and, perhaps, your gazebo), we offer asphalt shingles in eight colors.

With its inviting porch, a pool house resembles a cozy cottage, and lends itself to a great variety of uses. To give it a welcoming look, you can put hanging planters, overflowing with colorful flowers, on the porch, some flower boxes in the windows, and small garden beds around the sides. Furnishing it with outdoor chairs and lounges, or perhaps a porch swing, will give it the ultimate homey touch. To make it even more alluring, put in a walkway of large, decorative stones.

If you want to turn your pool house into your own personal spa, install a hot tub. For extra privacy, surround it with trellises, pergolas, or multi-paneled garden screens, covered with climbing plants and vines. Place some cedar birdfeeders and birdbaths nearby, and you can enjoy watching and listening to birds as you relax in your hot tub.

Along with the charm of a gazebo, a pool house has the functional capacity of a shed, and can be used for storing everything from garden tools, to pool equipment, toys, games, and flotation devices.

Naturally, the pool house can be used as a cabana, where people can change into and out of their swimwear. It’s a good idea to place an attractive teak hamper inside for wet bathing suits and beach towels, as teak is highly resistant to moisture, decay, and mildew.

For those days of swimming that turn into nights of partying, don’t forget the festive lighting. Colorful lanterns or party lights strung up around the yard add to the merriment, as do torches and candles. Wrought iron hanging baskets with copper pots and candleholders create a striking effect as well.

Of course, you can’t have an outdoor party without a picnic table. Today, there is an incredible array of picnic tables available, from the traditional wood types, to those made from metal and synthetic materials. They come in all sizes, shapes, and colors, so it will be easy to find one that suits your purposes. You can also find a great selection of outdoor dining sets, as well as bar and bistro tables, chairs and other outdoor furniture for more elegant outdoor affairs. For sunny afternoons, be sure to include a colorful umbrella with a high percentage of UV protection.

For your outdoor cooking, you can have anything from a grill or barbecue, to a complete outdoor kitchen. In general, it seems that the more elaborate the pool area, the more time most people tend to spend outdoors, and the more extravagant the equipment; but, of course, there are no rules.

Portable propane and gas grills are available in stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron, in a variety of sizes, with different features, such as trays for catching grease, electronic ignition, and extra burners on the sides. Likewise, there are endless versions of barbecues and smokers with tons of features. Another great option is to dig an open barbecue pit in the yard.

A water feature is a superb way to accent a specified area or your entire landscape. This can be anything from a small reflecting pool to enhance the tranquility of an area used for relaxing, to a waterfall or a garden pond, complete with koi. If water is a part of your design, there’s no better way to embellish it than with an enchanting garden bridge. Available in a range of materials, sizes, and styles, bridges are absolutely stunning and can add value, as well as indescribable beauty to your property. You can even get a lovely covered bridge. There’s no end to the uses for your pool house, the ways in which you can dress it up, or the design ideas for the area surrounding it. The best part is that, even if you put nothing but the pool house in your yard, you’ll still have the best looking landscape in town, because, for sheer beauty and practicality, the pool house stands alone.
